As Deputy Head-teacher he was a specialist in Learning, Curriculum Development and Student Wellbeing. While in this role he engaged a number of community education initiatives working with Universities, Local Government and Third Sector groups. He chaired several advisory and development boards. As Managing Director of Castell Education and Catch Accreditation, he broadened his understanding of the work-based learning environment, skills and accreditation agenda and enjoyed the challenge of entrepreneurship. He has highly developed teaching, training and networking skills.

More recently, Paul joined Team Metalogic. A Caerphilly based IT and Telecoms company to develop his business skills. In 2019 he completed the 20 Twenty Business Growth Programme with Cardiff Met University and obtained a distinction in the CMI Level 7 Leadership and Management award. Paul has enjoyed developing new skills in understanding innovation, entrepreneurship, sales and marketing. Business Growth has been the focus of Team Metalogic since Paul joined. Team Metalogic has recently been awarded the ‘2020 Business Growth’ award by the South Wales Chamber of Commerce.

Hobbies & Interests

Paul continues to have an interest in education, peculiarly aspects related to History and Heritage. He also enjoys reading and reflecting on the changes related to Innovation and Technology. As a personal challenge, Paul is walking the coast of Wales. When he is not doing that, he enjoys playing golf, and socialising with friends and family.
